Thanks again for the awesome restoration job and dedication to the scene ? • Repost from @bartgabrielofficial • HEAVY METAL MAUSOLEUM – UPDATE. As some of you may know, for the last 2 decades I’ve been collecting all kind of Heavy Metal related memorabilia. I’m a big enthusiast of the entire Heavy Metal culture, so my plan was, and still is, to gather and preserve as many of them as possible, so they could be enjoyed by future generations of fans. I don’t think I will ever afford to buy or hire a space for an actual regular museum, but I know that arranging an exhibition at a festival or in an art galleries is actually doable. I don’t feel that my collection is already big enough to do that, and I think it will take some time until I will launch that project for good, but I decided to start sharing with you pictures and stories about what I managed to gather so far. The photo: I’m restoring the original CIRITH UNGOL stage banners, which the band used back in the day. I got them few months before they announced their comeback, so I’m guessing this photo was taken at the end of 2016 or in the first days of 2017. When the banners were ready to be used again (chemical dry cleaning, removing the mold and repainting some parts, as they were sitting in a garage for almost 30 years), I took them to the Keep It True Festival. The band liked them so much after they got restored, that I actually returned them, and they are travelling with the band once again (and I’m really happy about it).
