“Frost and Fire”
Produced by Cirith Ungol. Originally released by Cirith Ungol on Liquid Flames Records (13666) in 1980. Released in 1981 by Enigma records (LF001). Re-released with “King of the Dead” on one CD by One Way Records in 1995 (OW30992). To be re-released in September 1999 on Metal Blade Records! Best Tracks: “Frost and Fire”, “I'm Alive”, “Better Off Dead”.
“King of the Dead”
Produced by Cirith Ungol. Released July 1984 on Enigma Records (E1089). To be
re-released in September 1999 on Metal Blade Records! Self produced, this was the heaviest and best of the four! Greatest hits include: “Atom Smasher”, “Master of the Pit”, “King of the Dead”, and “Cirith Ungol”. Jerry’s solo on “Cirith Ungol” was the best 30 seconds of our 22 year career!
"One Foot in Hell"
Produced by Brian Slagel and Cirith Ungol. Released in August 1986 on Metal Blade Records (72143).
Re-released in March 1999 on Metal Blade Records on CD (14203-2). This album was another heavy hitter,
best tracks include: "Blood & Iron",
"Chaos Descends", "War Eternal"
and "Doomed Planet".
“Paradise Lost”
Produced by Ron Goudie. Released in September 1991 on Restless Records CD
(7-72518-2). This could have been the best but...we had very little control, if any over this project!
Saving grace was, ”Join the Legion”, and Tim’s heroic trilogy: “Chaos Rising, Fallen Idols & Paradise Lost”.
Cirith Ungol’s distinctive album covers were all painted by 13 time Hugo award winner Michael Whelan, whose masterpieces include Arthur C. Clake’s “2010 A space Odyssey”, and other selected works by such literary masters as H. P. Lovecraft. His other work can be seen at Michael Whelan.com.
