Arnold Schwarzenegger Returns to Conan the Barbarian

Arnold Schwarzenegger  will be returning to a role that pretty much launched his career, Conan the Barbarian.   He will star as an older (King?) Conan character in a film entitled The Legend of Conan.   Will it be better than the last mediocre Conan film Hollywood conjured up?   My hopes are NOT high.

The writer of this Conan film is none other than Chris Morgan”¦. Who’s that you ask?   Why it’s the guy who wrote Fast and Furious, and Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift, and Fast and Furious 6.   This is conjecture, as I did not see Fast and Furious or Fast and Furious 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 or Tokyo Drift; but I think they could have come up with a better writer.

And the Producer of this Conan film is Fredrik Malmberg, the same guy who produced the last Conan movie!   Ugh.  Well… here’s what Malmberg said about the movie:

“The idea is that this takes place after Conan has been king. But this is the legend of Conan where he has been gone and people say, “˜Do you remember the good ol’ days when Conan was around?’ And now it’s time for him to come back.”

And apparently this may be a trilogy. Crom!
