Zine Metal Blade Records • Journalist Brian Slagel and AA Nemtheanga Published Sat 02 Oct 2010
Check it out here:

Recently, Brian Slagel and Primordial’s AA Nemtheanga had a chance to talk about some of their favorite classic metal albums from the Metal Blade vault. The conversation has been broken up into a four part series to focus on each of the four albums that they discussed. In part 1, the metal connoisseurs reminisce about Cirith Ungol’s King Of The Dead. Nemtheanga talks about that album’s influence on himself and Primordial while Brian Slagel talks about what it was like to work with the band back in the early 1980s.

Follow-ups are up! They are Trouble, Flotsam and Jetsam and Omen. All of them are great bands, especially Trouble. There’s also some talk about Cirith Ungol in the Trouble-episode. Check them out!

Yes I thought it was quite cool. Especially since Primordial is a very cool band. Seen them live once at Hole in the Sky fesival. Discovered it by an accident. Curious what the follow-up albums will be….

Fuckin’ A that’s an awesome interview! I loved it. I agree, CU’s sound has aged much better than the hair and trash bands in the early to mid 80s.
I can hardly listen to anything after Shout at the Devil or Master of Puppets from those genres.
