Annick Giroux is the vocalist of the heavy metal band Cauchemar and few other band as well. She is also the author of the cookbook Hellbent for Cooking: The Heavy Metal Cookbook, published by Bazillion Points in 2009.
In addition to her work as a musician and writer, she runs a travel blog documenting her global adventures, often focusing on the international metal underground.
Giroux is a multi-talented contributor to the scene: she has worked as guest or session musician, and been involved in numerous projects as a graphic designer and photographer—providing layout, artwork, cover designs, and band photography. She regularly writes for the fanzines Iron Fist (UK) and Morbid Tales, and was one of the founding promoters of the Wings of Metal festival in Montréal.
In 2017, she designed a t-shirt for the legendary band Skyclad, and she is also the co-founder of Temple of Mystery Records, a label dedicated to supporting traditional and underground heavy metal from around the world.
