A metal festival named after a Cirith Ungol’s classic and using the kneeling skeleton logo. Arranged by Jarvis Leatherby of Night Demon and future Cirith Ungol bassist.

Finally we have a true heavy metal festival on the West Coast! On 10/17/15, classic heavy metal descends on Southern California! Night Demon has been working on this event for quite some time. This is a single-day fest featuring some classic bands from the genre, as well as some current heavyweights carrying the torch in the modern era. We have decided to throw this thing in a small venue, using two stages and also making it the most affordable festival of its kind, by far! Our goal is to accommodate the fans from around the globe and make it as easy as possible on their wallets. We know the fans deserve this, as we are lifelong fans, ourselves. For all of you who have ever been looking for an excuse to come to sunny Southern California, this is your opportunity! The venue (Bombay) is within walking distance of hotels, restaurants, and bars, and is only two blocks from the beautiful Pacific Ocean! Grab these tickets while you can and join us in this celebration of Frost and Fire! – Night Demon, 01 Aug 2015

Special meet and greet/signing session featuring Tim, Robert, Greg and Mike of Cirith Ungol.

Probably ten years before we got back together, I started getting emails from Oliver from Keep it True asking us to get back together and I kept saying no. People kept asking Tim to do something without the rest of us, there were all sorts of rumors about us getting back together. –Rob, Dec 2022

A friend at work said you should talk to Jarvis, he said we should get the band back together. I said no way, he said there’s a bunch of people who still listen to you guys in Europe. And he put on a festival with bands from all over and invited us to do a signing session, and it went really well. -Rob

We signed albums and CDs for an hour and a half. People came from all over the world. -Greg

Jarvis and Oliver wanted us to go across the street to a restaurant, and Oliver said if you guys want to get back together you can headline Keep it True the year after next. And Jarvis said we could headline Frost and Fire the next year. -Rob

It wasn’t an immediate yes, there was a lot more coaxing. Night Demon had a rehearsal space, and it started slowly with Rob starting to play drums again with our gear. And we started inviting ex-members of the band to show up and jam a song or two, and that went on for months with members of Night Demon filling in for members who weren’t there. And that went on for months, Tim would refuse to sing but he’d show up every time. And eventually one day Tim started singing “Frost and Fire” into the mic, and it took off from there. -Jarvis

24 Oct 2015: Another meeting of the minds at Casa De Soria between Night Demon & Cirith Ungol. Love being a fly on the wall during ’em. (Matt)
