MYTHRA are one of the original New Wave of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM) bands. They formed in the second half of the 1970s and recorded their legendary ‘Death & Destiny EP’ in 1979. Based in the North East of England, MYTHRA has been cited as an early influence by Lars Ulrich of Metallica and they are still very much active on the current international Metal Underground scene.
