Trauma, 1983/4. They played covers of Electric Eye by Judas Priest, Def Leppard and other songs.
One gig was Battle of the Bands 1983. Blue Springs High School. The other bands, probably at least The Canseco’s (possibly Kenny Vaughn – vocal, live Blue Springs Gym 1983) and B.S.H.S. (possibly Scott Marshall), were likely competing with each other in the Battle of the Bands.
Members (possibly):
- Jim Barraza – lead guitar
- Gregory Canseco – bass guitar (this band?)
- Mitchell Canseco – drums (this band?)
Jim to Gregory Canseco from 2013: It’s really awesome to be in contact with you after 30 F*ck’n years. Amazing!! Correct me if i’m wrong, I recall playing Electric Eye by Priest and some Def Leppard tune .. BTW, I brought the Ibanez “Rocket Roll” Flying V with me to California. Held onto it till around ’89. I gave it to CU’s Bass Player.(Flint), He took it to Vegas… Rumor has it…He gave it to one of the 10 guitarist in Blue Oyster Cult. IDK. haha.

Note: This Trauma band has no connection to the other Trauma band, with a more well-known name from San Francisco with Cliff Burton from 1981–82.
